Any popup windows are redirected to the local desktop, and local drives and printers can be redirected to appear within the RemoteApp programs. If the programs use notification area icons, the icons appear in the client computer’s notification area. Instead of being presented to the user in the desktop of the server, as with a traditional Remote Desktop Connection, the RemoteApp programs are integrated with the client computer’s desktop, running in their own resizable window, with their own entry in the taskbar.
RemoteApp programs are programs that are accessed remotely through a special type of Remote Desktop Connection, and appear as if they are running on the end user’s local computer. Ideal for deploying and managing key applications in the secure, remote environment while allowing users to work from and customize their own desktops. The apps have their own taskbar entry and can be resized and moved across monitors.
Specify individual applications that are hosted/run on the virtualized machine but appear as if they’re running on the user’s desktop like local applications.
